Event Description

A CASA ADVOCATE IS AN INDIVIDUAL WHO:

• Is at least 21 years old.
• Successfully passes background, fingerprint checks and personal interview prior to starting training.
• Has a strong verbal and written communication skill.
• Is able to commit to a minimum of 2 hours each month.
• Is willing to visit the child(ren) minimally once a month.
• Successfully completes 30 hours of initial training provided by Dougherty CASA.
• Is able to keep information confidential and can work within established program guidelines.
• Respects a child’s inherent right to grow up with dignity in a safe and nurturing environment.

Our children need both female and male advocates!
